  1. Started cycling career in 1993, shifted to swimming in 1997
  2. The first Malaysian to swim across the English Channel in 17 hours and 42 minutes (started at Abbots Beach, Dover at 2.08 am British time), arrived at Le Petit Blanc Beach at 2.42 am Malaysian time (7.50 pm British time) (4th August 2003)
  3. Among about 600 people from around the world to swim across the English Channel since 127 years ago
  4. Historic swim from Kuala Perlis to Langkawi Kuah Jetty near Dataran Helang (Langkawi Challenge) as his final preparation to swim across the English Channel, completed the 48km swim in 14 hours and three minutes (24th May 2003)
  5. Swam across the North Channel that separates Penang Island and Seberang Perai, the first Malaysian to do so (1999)
  6. Swam from Pulau Besar to Mersing in Johor, covering a distance of 18km
  7. Chairman of Airport Limo Malaysia

5. Honours and Awards:

  1. Darjah Setia Pangkuan Negeri (DSPN) which carries the title “Dato” – Penang State Government (2003)
  2. Special Award, at the opening of Umno Youth’s Sukan Putera Merdeka (2003)
  3. Fifth placing, 26 km race across Lake Zurich, Switzerland (2002)
  4. Champion, National Junior Time Trials- Cycling, 70km (1993)
  5. Fifth placing, Asian Junior Cycling Championships (1993)
