  1. Chairman, International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB)
  2. Under-Secretary (Export Commodities Division), Ministry of Primary Industries (1985)
  3. Played a major role in drafting legislation designed to strengthen and modernize the Malaysian natural rubber industry, including the establishment of the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) and the Malaysian Rubber Exchange and Licensing Board (MRELB)
  4. Played an important part in the setting-up of the Malaysian Timber Industry Board and the Pepper Community under the auspices of ECAFE (Economic Commission for Asia and The Far East)

  1. Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which carries the title “Tan Sri” – Federal Government
